Hello, this is my first post!
I am hoping for assistance in finding an appropriate campground. My college friends go camping about once a year...We're all approaching 30, and like to have a good time when we get together. We've managed to anger 3 campgrounds so far, so this year, I'm really trying hard to find a campground that is more geared for adults and doesnt have such a strict quiet hour policy. Does anyone have any recommendations in the New England/New York area? Perhaps campground that has a good group areas?

Thanks for your help!!

I understand your concerns but most campgrounds simply don't want or allow partying 'till the early hours of the morning. It just keeps people who don't want to party, awake.
We've been camping for awhile and I can't think of one place.
Maybe partying off site would be best, then return to the campground when you're ready to call it a night.

Some parks do have group areas that are separated from the main campground. They understand that when a group gets together the noise level rises. Call some campgrounds and ask about this. It is alot better to know ahead of time then to be kicked out.
Welcome to the forum, but as you can see most of us RV'ers (campers) do appreciate our quiet and solitude. Please take no offense and travel safe.

How about the Kangamangus Highway. Don't they have some camps you can hike into and be away from other people. I think a day of hiking and swimming at the Swift River will slow you down a bit.

Rosie....I think what you are looking for is a large Safari site. A few state campgrounds in your area have these and are well secluded from the others. One place that comes to mind is Pittsfield State Forest in Mass. They have a campground with a decent safari site. We have a group of about 30 of us that go every year. The policies arent bad and should suit your group. The site we usually get is called Lulu I believe.

if you dont mind ruffing it a little with no hook ups you can go into the moose river wilderness area in the adirondacks near indian lake ny you can find a privet spot in there to be by your self and not bother any one just dont camp at the ranger station but go threw the gate a mile or two theres some big camping spots in there with out many people around for you to bother its all on dirt roads back there but nice.campsites are far apart in there.it free there no fees.

Finding a campground without some sort of quiet hours policy will be tough-I honestly don't think one exists, for obvious reasons. My suggestion would be either to canoe the Saco river and camp on the river bank (may be tough due to high water this year) or head into some wilderness spot where no one can hear you. My only request is if you do so, take your trash out with you and don't damage the flora and fauna.

you should check out JOLLY ROGER MOTO-SPORTS PARK RT. 10 in east lempster NH . When I raced there we partyed all night long with no problem with about 20 campers in fact the owner would join us . hear is the track info. I hope this helps

Jolly Roger Moto-Sports Park incorporates several competition course layouts. A natural outdoor Moto-Cross with Super-Cross style improvements a mile that is a quarter in length. A 1/5 mile Oval Short Track topped with our own custom "blue-chip" surface. The ENTIRE MX Track is now irrigated with more than 50 water heads. NO MORE DUST!
We race:

Moto-Cross
Cycle Flat Track
Gates open well before scheduled race times. Free Camping & Coolers permitted.
Also at the track is the Roostertails Grill, excellent food at reasonable prices. The grill is open during all scheduled events. Also for your convenience we have added a mobile Hook'em Grill in our motocross pit.

The Park is also available for shows, swap meets, flea markets, music festivals etc...

For further info call the Track Hot Line @ (603)-863-0008.

Please follow the link at the bottom of this page to the web site for Jolly Roger Moto-Sports Park for more information.

I partied hard in my 20's and am sure I have your getting thrown out record beat by 10.I avoid that now and am in bed by 11.We used to go in the woods off of the Kancamancus,or Dolly Copp. They were pretty lenient back then but dont know about now.I would call campground and explain your situation, see what happens.

This thread has been greatly edited. Please, folks, if you have a constructive suggestion for the OP, great. Keep the sarcasm and flaming out of it.

Thanks,
