"Reality" is what you perceive it to be, and everyone picks their own. There are those who go through life feeling acted upon, and there are those who act. Thank god for those among us with "rose colored glasses", or this species would have died cowering in caves, waiting for someone to provide for them, and fearing the future. We can always find bogeymen to dread if that's our predisposition. Thankfully, some people choose to not live their lives in fear of the unknown, or of what "could" happen. You could no more talk those people into being dejected, depressed, and prostrate before their fears than you could convince a leopard to change his spots. Those brave people have wisdom born of experience and perspective, much like my ancestors who, incidentally, lived through much tougher times than we could ever imagine in these days of comparative luxury, ease, and privilege. Despite the efforts of some to convince us how bad we have it and that we should live in fear, it's the other type I respect and have sought to emulate, and I will continue to do so.

I saw this coming and sold my dp in March. I got good money for it and the new owner loved it, that was till late April when diesel really spiked, then he was complaining about the cost of fuel

Reality is what reality is, one can focus about anywhere, reality remains reality. No need to fear reality ,only need is to recognize it rather than dreaming some alternative exisitence.

I sold my 2003 6.0 PSD Excursion for a great price last fall and I am sure the new owner is not a happy camper after diesel prices shot up this year.

Too bad 8.1, now diesel only costs 20% more than gas but my Cummins gets 50% better mileage than that 8.1 does.

Bait and switch-Beware
I usually just pick up the 87 Octane handle and pump, never considering this type of extra charge.

After the card goes through and I hit the Regular choice I always check on the price being shown on the pump. Have been doing this for years.
