I have mixed emotions. I know that Jeff Corwin is interested in animals, so he spent a lot of time talking about the turtle, tiger salamander, bugs and snakes and the gila monster. That was to be expected but he really didn't get away from the I-25 corridor. No travel to the western part of the state and its sights... but I guess that is the subject of a different style of travel show like Samantha Brown's.

Yeah, I kind of had the same feeling. You'd think we were a land of snakes and gila monsters. Nice critters, but I've rarely seen a snake here, and have never laid eyes on a gila monster.
I loved the show--but then again I probably prefer critters to people for the most part, anyway. That's what I love about NM--not many big cities and plenty of nature.
That turtle was darned cute, wasn't it?
