We close everything except the vents and always leave them open.

we tow with one of our vents open under a Maxair...

One issue we have had that I have not seen mentioned is our paper towels and toilet paper unravelling...

we keep small bungees around both..

I like to leave mine open, but if I forget to plug the tub drain, the suction created pulls fumes out of the grey tank into the trailer.

I travel with mine open sometimes both open never noticed any problem and it is much cooler inside when we arrive...

I have never plugged the tub or sinks and haven't had that problem... I don't remember anyone mentioning it either, is there a chance something else is causing it... maybe someone knows and can post about it...

When traveling with the vent open do you leave a crack open in a window to promote air flow or just the vent open?

I have 3 vents and leave all three open but no windows.

Our vents are always opened underneath our vent covers. We've never had an issue with water or dust.

Ditto for us as well. We just got the TT a couple of months ago and I was nervious about leaving them open during rain storms. We left both our vents open and haven't had a problem yet.

After trying everything to keep out water coming in through the front windows of a trailer we had previously, we started shutting the vent that had been left open under the Maxx Air cover. No more water in the front window. We leave it closed now when traveling.
