I am getting new tires on Friday, and as a little insurance, I am going to buy tire covers for all exposed tires (I need 6 of them cause I have a tag axle). I have 16 inch tires. Anyone know of a good source that sells them for cheap? Camping World is not cheap. I found them at JC Whitney for $24.99 for a single. They also have tandem covers, but do you think that will work on mine with the tag axle? It appears they are geared towards a tandem axle on a pull trailer (the tag axle seems to be spaced further apart from the drive axle than the spacing on a pull trailer with 2 axles). What do you think? If I remember, I bought some online a few years ago for my old motorhome and I thought I paid about $16.00 each. Thanks in advance!!

Why do want cheap? Don't you want them to stay on your tires and last a while? Heck if you want cheap just use some blue tarp and bungee cords.

I think I just paid $25 per tandem axle.

White plastic garbage bags with the draw strings work well and are disposable.

You can fabricate some custom wheel covers from Reflectix and the aluminum ac tape. Grommets with bungees or some velcro can be used to secure to the wheel.
An added benefit of using the reflectix is that some of the sun's heat is reflected from the tire instead of merely absorbed through the tarp or vinyl cover.

Reflectix...great for cooler covers, bunkend covers, windshield/dash covers, and more.

I have seen peices of plywood leaned against the MH but they can't be used on the road very well. Some times one side can be protected by parking close to a building. To get away from the "nerd" look I like the one's that snap on as skirting because it gives you clean lines instead of the doughnut look. If you are in storage who cares.

Just look around the storage yard you use. Pick them up against the fence for free.

E bay is always a good place to buy them.

Purchase some canvas at a fabric shop. A couple of twist lock connectors on each wheel well and your good to go. You can have the edges hemmed or not.

I've been pleased with these Snap Ring Tiresavers.

Price is reasonable as they are sold in pairs.
