See sig.
Trade it in? That is easy to resist, I just look at the prices of similar new trucks, and the fact that a two wheel drive is nearly impossible to find, and any urge to trade just fades away.
If it became necessary, I figure I can do a total rebuild of this truck, maybe twice, for what a new one would cost.

My father's 1991 Cummins powered Ram 2500 has over 535K miles. It's used both as his work truck and to carry the camper and boat.

Half of the dash icons are lit but he doesn't care. The truck still goes on and on.

I see there are plenty of vehicles that have lasted a long time if we put effort into it. So what's necessary to keep these trucks goin'? My truck has long lasting plugs and wires which last approximately 100,000 miles, so is it time to renew them, what else will keep my ride goin? I changed the transmission fluid/filter.

Mine is just getting broken in @200,000 miles. Plan on replacing the drive tires in the next few days though - they have 150,000 miles on them.

Did you get it fixed after the fender bender?

Mine will be barely broken in at 200K ... O.K. a little stretch ... and this vehicle will outlive me so it's a keeper and the last tow vehicle I will ever own.
