This is the second time now this has happened. I start to fill the fresh water tank and it fills till water comes back up the fill tube. I check inside and it says E for level. Water lasts about 1 hour, so its def on E, and is not full. There is some kind of Air lock that is not allowing the air to escape the fresh tank air value. Last time I opened the low drain points and that seemed to work, but not this time. What is going on? I turned off the pump, then back on, opened facets inside, opened low drain and made sure all air was out of those lines, I am lost and frustrated!!!!

Please help!

There is a vent right at the fill port usually between the city water and reg tank fill, make sure it is not clogged.

There is often a 3/8" clear line that comes off the top of the tank. This line is the vent line. As Vulcanmars set it goes to the fill port. You might want to make sure that it isn't kinked. They will some times get pinch or kinked. JM2Cents Bill

I had to blow out the vent a couple of times. There is a plastic ring holding a screen in the end of the vent, pull it and the screen and blow a little air back into the tank and you should be good to go.

I had the same thing on my fiver, after I took it back to the dealer to fix the problem was where the vent tube went in to the tank, They opened up the hole a little more and now it works great.

I have found that I have this problem when I fill mine all the way to the top, where water flows back out of the fill opening. After I overfill like this, the next time I go to fill, my vent will give me this same kind of grief as you have described.
As Larry and Linda stated, I blow back into the vent opening and it begins working correctly.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe there is a low spot on the vent hose, where water might settle in. When I blow back into the vent, and into the tank, I think it is pushing the water back up out of the low spot and back to the tank, which opens the vent so air can more easily pass through.

A recent post by another member stated thet he finally took apart the gravity fill fitting and found the tube blocked with silicne that the manufacturer used to seal the corrigated fill hose to the fill fitting. Could possibly be your trouble as well.

I find if I have the fill hose in too far or too tight, it has caused the problems you describe. It seems like the built in vent tube isn't always large enough to let the air out. Try a smaller hose or back out the fill hose a bit.

My fill hole is 2 ins. below the frame rail, fill hose passes over it, so I use a short hose (no connection on the end to push pass the frame)connected to my water hose, this has worked for 4 years for me.
