Greetings,
I have recently filled my trailer with water and was hoping to flush out the lines as normal only to find water gushing out the city water inlet when the pump is on. I did a search but did not find any details on how to swap the inlet out. Is it as simple as unscrewing the three screws that surround it and finding the replacement to rescrew back in?
Does anybody have a step by step procedure? Pictures would be helpful.
Thanks.

If yours is like mine, it really does just screw on. So simple, I don't think there were even any instructions in the box.

I've swapped mine out a couple of times now on my 12 year old RV......the last time it started leaking I decided to fix it permanently.......I went to Home Depot and picked up a garden hose valve.........and screwed it on and shut the leak off for good........you might consider giving it a try?

Many times you can repair this issue by just cleaning out the check valve behind the hose fitting.

yes it is really easy. Remove the thee screws on the outer ring that holds it to the TT exterior. Then you will be able to pull it out a bit so that you can unscrew it from the plumbing.

I use a hose shutoff as suggested above. Worked fine for years now.

I was going to point out that Lowes has a larger type of valve which I think is what is pictured, not that tiny standard one.

A common problem..
First inspect the screen on the inlet, is it well formed or has it been "Pressed in" if the latter remove it, re-form it and check again
If it's well formed remove it anyway.. Just behind the screen is a plastic pin,
NOTE YOU WILL GET WET, WEAR RAIN GEAR
WIth the water pump on press in on this pin, water flow should INCREASE, You may also flush out a bit of "Something" (I have no clue as to what since it don't belong there) release the pin and hopefully water flow will stop
If not, replace the inlet
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

I need to replace the city water inlet on my travel trailer. I forgot to winterize the city water connection and there is now a leak in it. It is a surface mount model and I removed the three screws around it. This loosens it, but how do I actually remove it and replace the new one? How is the inlet connected to the pipes inside the camper? The photo below is the new part that I need to replace it with. Thanks! Any advice would be appreciated.

Just replaced mine. Here's how.
Remove the three screws that attach the fitting to the side of the trailer.
Go inside the trailer and find where the connection comes into the trailer. In my case, its in a cabinet. Hopefully, your's is similarly located.
Disconnect the plastic compression fitting that connects the city water element from the actual cold water supply pipe.
Remove the old fitting.
Clear away the old putty tape from the exterior. Use new putty tape on the new city water fitting you have purchased at your local RV store.
Bolt the whole thing back together and remount using the three screws you first took out.
20 minute job once you figure it out.
Good luck.
