I'm planning a trip from Georgia to Alaska and was wondering if any of you have played golf along the way, in Canada and Alaska?

Is there golf courses along the Alcan Hwy? Any suggestions?

If there are few courses, then it probably wouldn't be worth carrying the bulky and heavy clubs.

There are beautifull courses all the way up from Canada through the Yukon to Alaska.Have you never heard of golfing at midnight up north, the land of the midnight sun.Just check out the golfing sites on the internet, tons of information including the RCGA.My favorite one last year was in Whitehorse.

Along the Alaska Highway in Yukon, there are golf courses in Whitehorse and Watson Lake. And I think there is a nine-hole golf course in Dawson City.

It's likely there are also courses in Dawson Creek, Ft St John and Fort Nelson, which are on the Alaska Highway in British Columbia.

There appear to also numerous courses in Alaska:

North Star Golf Course in Fairbanks is the northernmost USGA sanctioned course. Nothing special but a memory maker. Also, if in southern BC, as I was in 2004, consider the semi-private course in Golden B.C. The course is very nice, the price was reasonable and they had several hookup sites for RVs. Think it was caled the Golden Country Club.
Lastly, if you're heading northward thru Idaho, you just have to play Coeur D'Alene.
