Used to go holiday weekends, not anymore. Got tired of the traffic, to and from, mobbed CGs, too many weekend warriors for me

But you folks that do brave the highways and byways, have a great time!

We are at North River Campground near Elizabeth City, North Carolina. We have to take our holiday early in order to work the long weekend. If you haven't been this is a great place with great folks running it. People look at us funny when they ask where we are from and we tell them the Outer Banks. "Who would want to leave the Beach? Well we love trees and grass and this is the closest place to stay that is nice without a lot of year rounder's. Have a great holiday.

We are headed to the family property in Twisp, WA. It's ~ 5 hours from Seattle. We'll be leaving the camper there for most of the summer so we should get better mileage on the way home.

Headed up a little canyon to a nice boondocking site about 4 miles East of Blue Mesa Reservoir tomorrow night. Should be a fun weekend even though it is a blizzard outside right now, should only be rain down the canyon. There is still way to much snow up at my usual hang out spot up by Spring Creek Reservoir just below Taylor Park. Everybody have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend!

We are taking our new TT out for the second time. We are going to St. Cloud Minnesota. It is about 90 minutes north of Minneapolis which is where we live. We are leaving on Friday afternoon when she gets off work and coming back on Monday afternoon.
The "Maiden Voyage" was 2 weekends ago to Duluth Minnesota which is about 2 hours north of Minneapolis.

Happy and Safe Weekend to all!!!!
