Does anyone know of any "off the beaten path" camping areas in Southern Arizona. I would appreciate any input! Thanks

Tombstone Territories RV Resort is located about 10 miles North and West of Tombstone and is off the beaten path. Address is 2111 E. highway 82, Huachuca City AZ 520 457 2584.
We are thinking of staying there next winter--we need to see what fuel prices are like next year.

Patagonia State Park. Great area for camping, hiking, fishing, water sports and one of the best areas in the country for Humming birds. You will not be disappointed. Good luck.

Queen Mine RV Park in Bisbee is an unusual park in an interesting old mining town down near the Mexican border. Town in very artsy and fun.
Good luck,

Get a good DeLorme map and pick a dirt road. You might bet more than you bargained for, but you could see lots of animals and beautiful sunsets.

You might like Kartchner Caverns State Park here.http://www.pr.state.az.us/parks/parkhtml/kartchner.html The campground has electric/water and dump station. It is higher in altitude than the caverns in a mesquite forest with nice views out over the desert. We used the TV and tried all the back roads in the area. Many ghost towns and historic sites associated with the old West. Ditto Bisbee--the old hotel has a good restaurant and the museuem has some surprising exhibits about Bisbee as an important city at the turn of the century.
