We’re leaving on our 1st trip tomorrow!!!!
I want to turn the refrigerator on tonight to get it cold.
I thought it would be easy but truth is, I JUST DON’T KNOW HOW!!!!
I thought I could just unplug it from the outlet IN the trailer and use an extension cord to plug it into the house. Is that it?
Ummm…… Now what?
It started getting really hot back there. I don’t know if it should. Too afraid of waking up to a fire.
Do I need to flip a switch or anything?
What are the steps for turning it on? I can’t figure it out from the manuals.

Just plug your unit into electric and turn the fridge on..It should take care of itself...When I leave home for the trip I switch it over to LP and leave the fridge on as we travel...
Just to cool the fridge you should be able to plug into a 15 amp outlet and it should work fine. Using propane with the unit plugged in may be a bit faster for cooling down. You need 12 volts so plugging in charges the batteries. Good luck.
Melissa, Yes you can unplug the fridge from the PUP and plug it into a extension cord. On this photograph you will see the switches for the fridge. Make sure the propane circular knob (on the left) is turned off and then push the large green knob on. The circular knob above the 120 and 12 volt switches regulates the temperature. Turn it to 5, 6, or 7.
Hope this helps.
