Last weekend we boondocked at a rest stop and someone (or some thing)... "relieved" themselves on the side of our MH in the middle of the night! The next morning there was a strong smell of urine and the pool of liquid near our back tire. I was totally paranoid that it was our black water tank or something, but we checked and double-checked and... no, no leaks.
So we got a couple of buckets of h2o from the rest stop rest room and poured them on the pavement. However, the smell still remained. When we went back inside to prepare for departure, two RVs pulled up on either side of us and the people got out, walked behind our rig and started chatting. I was mortified. Should I have gotten out and explained the situation? In the end, we huddled in our rig and waited for them to get back in theirs before we took off. :-0

You could have started chatting and then a bit into the conversation proclaim "Hey, you'll never guess what happened last night!"

I can't explain why some people are like that. I had a riding friend take a leak right next to my rig a few year's ago. I was stunned to say the least. I yelled at him with "what the hell are you doing!!" I had not even hooked up the rig and his piss was where I needed to be. We were in a very large campground with two bath houses and a few thousand trees in which he could have taken care us business. Takes all kinds.

I would say you had a visit from a trucker who was upset you were taking up a space.

Disgusting indeed but I think you are over-reacting a little.

...well, that's a rotten thing that someone did to you; as far as I can tell, you are in the right, and there is nothing to be ashamed of; so, who cares what those busy-bodies who were chatting behind your RV say about you: that's their problem!
This is why we camp with our German Shepard who's a real b*tch; if someone got remotely close to our camper, she's start in barking, and whomever would leave: in other words, no one could ever get close enough to pee on or near our rig.
So, I guess it's true, if you're afraid, get a dog, even a useless one who'd lick you to death if she got a hold of you; besides, it costs a lot less money than learning how to properly use a hand gun; okay, so dogs ain't free either, but our dog loves us no matter what! And if a big dog is too much, little ones do fine too: my folks have a shet shu (sp?); she's really lazy, but still a fine watch dog. I guess the dog noise does the trick.
Again, we're very sorry for this happening to you, we wish that all your future travels are only safe and fun!

Sorry you had to endure that. We have seen it happen several times, but from drunks at NASCAR races.

We had that happen to us once, at Yellowstone. Turns out it was a buffalo

We tailgated at an outdoor concert one weekend. We were inside our rv having a drink and a snack. I was going to go back outside. Imagine my surprise when I stepped out and saw a woman squatting and peeing behind the slide of the rv next to us. It was so disgusting. There was a wall separating the rv parking from the free parking. Apparently the people in cars and trucks were climbing the wall to relieve themselves rather than crossing the street to use the portable toilets. YUCK!
