That will work but also you can buy small ones that are 75w at places like Schucks that will also work fine and are a lot less money. I have one of them and it runs DW's Dell 1520 laptop just fine. Its quite small and one piece that plugs into the power socket. Its "Powerline" brand.

Woot and Flingthing some times have them for cheap or free for shipping. Big enough for lap top, anyway.

We use a Targus model PAPWR005U that has a 90W output. Works good for us.

1. Wattage quoted is usually peak and good for maybe 15 minutes. Continuous wattage can be half that.
2. Square wave AC current is unacceptable to a few appliances and can overheat them. My wife's IBM laptop computer power supply refused to run on square wave, I had to buy a much more expensive pure-sine wave inverter.
3. The amps sucked from your battery are significant. 120 watts of AC will pull at least 10 amps from the battery. Typical trailer battery only has about 55 useful amp hours so you won't get much inverter use. These work fine in the tow vehicle with the alternator powering them, but less well in a static location.

We bought one from Best Buy that was supposed to be plenty to run our laptop. Problem came when we added GPS software to the laptop. Not near enough power to handle that and we ended up buying another larger one. What are your plans for usage or is it just to recharge?

I have used one that I bought at Costco and it works great for just what you want to do with it. It has been all over the country with us. Heres the one that Costco carries. I have the same targus as posted above.
Works fine to drive small laptop or charge cell phone.
I have a 200 watt one in the 'Bago hard wired to the fuse block under the hood.
It will run the 13" Tv/DVD combo and the Gamecube.
It did not work so well plugged into the 12v system in the camper. Too much voltage drop caused by thin wires and connectors.
The home-run helped alot.
