Absolutely agree.
If the speed limit is 70 mph, then doing anything under 65 mph, even in the right lane can really jam things up behind him. He is risking his life driving that slowly, for what.....a couple bucks a day to and from work.
I have a sweet tender nature, however I enjoy sharing my thoughts and opinions.
Orlando seems to attract some of the worst drivers from around the world. It's gotten to the point that speeding has become so prevalent that during a recent interview, a Highway Patrol spokesperson disclosed that they have no problem with drivers keeping with the flow of traffic because they have their hands full just keeping up with the reckless ones.
Just one day last week while coming home from work, three cars passed me on the shoulder of I-4 near the Bee-Line because traffic in the remaining three lanes wasn't moving fast enough to suit them.
A few months ago while stuck in traffic near the Saint John River Bridge, drivers began using the Lake Mary rest stop as a passing lane. So many got involved that they caused their own separate traffic jam.
Try driving the speed limit around here and they'll run you off the road...
I have been running 63 -65 in the FOretravel as that is where I go and stay in 6th gear. I get about 8-9 but if I run 75 I get about 5-6 so I stay around 63. In bornfree I run around 55-60 and get 9 mpg. That is about the best the v10 and the gearing will let me get. I use the BF more as a suv and dog taxi so I really do not want to go much slower as I have a destination and it is usually for work. I have s cooter I ride to a 650 burgman and that gets 50mpg so that is pretty nice as well.

Let me ask you this, ya'll. If someone is driving 55mph on the rural, outside of city limits interstate during offpeak hours in the slow lane, would that be OK? Is it not the responsibily of the overtaking vehicle to pay attention while driving and be prepared for slower vehicles in their lane?
I mean, after all, the signs say "speed limit", not "speed required". As a matter of fact, the signs around these parts specify "speed limit 70, minimum 40".
BTW, I have finally noticed a gradual slowdown in the general flow of traffic around here on the interstates. Some people have actually slowed down to the speed limit.

Certainly, it is the responsibility of others to watch out for those going slow, but someday someone won't be paying enough attention and will ram into the person doing 55 MPH. I know more than once when I've been going the 70 MPH speed limit that I've misjudged how fast I am approaching someone going quite slow and had to brake hard.
Anyone going over the minimum speed is legally within their rights to be on the interstate, but how safe is it for them?
There are a few state's like IL. and Ca. That require RV, trucks ,camper's and vehicle pulling trailer to 55 mph while everyone else is running 65. So I would say the state is creating a problem also with these rules.

There is law and there is common sense. When I was towing trailer at firm 60 mph on 500 mile trip couple months ago, I remember passing about 6 trucks. The rest passed me.

I will not dispute that type of scenerio may happen, but I would propose that there are many more scenarios where serious accidents occur because of excessive speed and inattentive driving.
Here is another take on this. I fully realize there are many who, for whatever reason, will not slow down no matter what. That being said, even those people should by now know that there are those that have slowed down. Therefore, the faster drivers should be even more attentive to the potential of slower drivers being in the slow lane.
