Got an deal worked out on the 2009 Cougar 316QBS locally for $28,900(trailer, hitch and install, delivery and Prep/PDI) Sales tax will be at $1416. So $30316 out the door. Might be able to squeeze them for another $316 off. Not a bad deal. Got a quote from a wholesaler on the same fiver of $25560+2100shipping. So $27760+$1400tax equals $29160 and I still need a hitch at around $800 installed. Shoot right there, we are only $400 off. Not to darn bad for a local deal if you ask me.
Also going to relook at a 2008 KZ Durango 325BHS tomorrow. It's very slightly used(once is what I was told), but looks brand new. Camping world here started it at $39K, now lists it at $35900. Told them that I would be VERY interested in it if it could be had at $30K out the door(hitch installed and TTL). They said they would deal on that, but I have to take the wife again tomorrow to take a look. She don't remember it. This is a Texas model they took in trade so it has the heavier axles and 16" wheels. I hope the wife like it.
I prefer the Durango hands down for the second bath and quality that I can see. Hopefully we can get the interest rate that we want and own a second house soon. Wish us luck!
That price for the Durango seems a bit high to me, especially since it is considered used. You might want to price out a brand new one with Pat's Coleman Campers. That price you got looks more like a price you would expect for the Durango LX line and I know that the regular Durangos are quite a bit cheaper.
We have looked & looked & looked....
We have kids ranging from 23-11 & wanted something that gave us room in the master, the kids room in their area, privacy/sound deadening (full doors)for both areas & no bathroom inside the master because I didn't want everybody coming into the owner's space to do their business. We seriously looked at Bristol Bay, KZ, Keystone. We just bought a Cougar 316QBS. Paid $28,900 & got 2 flat screens, camping in style & cold weather packages at Holiday World in Houston, Tx. Funtime RV in the Dallas area sells them for the same price. Not quite sure where you are but getting this shipped down here from Indiana also tacked on a fuel surcharge.
Hope you find the right one soon. We'll let ya know how we like our's after we've had it a bit.

Actally a 2008 Durango 325BH on the site prices out to a MSRP of $44660 with the options I could find. I priced it everywhere else with the options it has at $46500. We ended up getting it at $29200. That is right at 39% off MSRP. When I said used, you cant tell. Perfect shape, has the vent covers already added, extra medicine cabinet too. It was a Texas trailer, so it has the 12000lb axles and the 16" wheels. Only thing I am missing is a few months off the warrantee. I'm just happy I got the layout I wanted, and got it locally! Got a $50 gift certificate and membership to Camping world too. Works for me.

The 316QBS was our second choice. I didn't like the single bath, and the queen matress was about a foot to short for me. Other than that, it was very nice. Had dealt it down to $28900, but liked the Durango much better.
Glad you didn't go with the Cougar if you're planning on keeping it very long; as those kids get older it will be tougher to get showers with it being in the kids' area (no privacy for you OR them.)

Exactly my plan NurseBetty. They are 10 and 11 now, and the fun has just begun. Besides, when they get older, they can just use there own door too. The Couger was nice, but didn't seem as sturdily built. Is that a word?
