Wonder if anyone can help, but we are currently out in Bandera, TX in 90deg heat, and our roof unit has decided to stop cooling...

The fan still works and blows air, I cleaned the filter and the fins do not look dirty (the unit has not been used much) and it does not heat up or cool the air it is blowing.

I checked the fuse on the thermostat - and it seems fine. I checked the circuit breakers on the electric panel, and it seems fine. I also tested everything on shore power and the generator, and no difference.

Seems to me that for some reason the compressor/heat pump unit is not kicking in.

We have a 29B Itasca Spirit that has a Coleman rooftop unit installed.

Is there a seperate reset switch for the heat pump somewhere, or a trip switch that I should check? or is this a "Call out the Mechanics on Memorial Day...".

All suggestions will be appreciated.

Gonna have to call a mechanic. It could be low on freon, the compressor could be bad, or it could be something minor like a startup capacitor.

Have you looked on top? No, it won't be low on Freon. The other heat exchanger, the condenser, could be dirty or that fan could have failed. Or, as fireman says, it could be a failed capacitor or the compressor itself.

I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.
