Interesting discussion. Here at Heartland RV Park out of Rapid City, SD, they were expecting a full cg but ended up about 1/3. May have been the weather--it has been horrible until today. Flooding, torrential downpours, thunder, lightening--you name it.

I guess the Stimulus Checks are working, and sure a lot of Credit Cards are being used. I just have to believe the Gas and Diesel prices are being felt, or maybe people just think this might be the only trip they will be able to make. We never hit the road until after June the 1st because of all the traffic. This year we will only make one trip before we go South for the winter if there is any Diesel that we can afford if not we will set here and watch the Tennessee River. GBY........

There was a lot on traffic on the interstate Friday, but the rest of the weekend it sort of dropped off. These gas prices have definitely slowed down the traveling, whether some want to admit it or not.
What Stimulus check? I almost forgot. Our's is not due to July 4 week.

We left Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas yesterday. The whole park, plus the overflow, was totally full and booked.

We were in a camp ground in Kentucky two weeks ago at Buckhorn 32 pads and we were the only ones there for the week. The day we left two tent campers that were local came in. The host said that was the first time in his eight years there he had seen that.
Also stayed in a S.Car. park don`t remember the name on the way up that was maybe half full right off I-95.

I usually stay home for Memorial day and Labor day weekends. We did however visit some friends at their 1000 Trails camp and it was about 3/4 full. Some really big big big Diesel pushers there too.

I'm in northern Minnesota and my wife and I own a small resort, cabins and campsites. The mood up here is a lot of people are not traveling. One friend stated that he had more cancelations this year than the last 3 years combined. Were doing fine with the cabins but have only one camper in the campgroud and it's ours.

An interesting note is the number of cabins for sale seems way up right now. Park Rapids, home of the highest fuel prices in Minnesota.

I like Winkyb above live in New Smyrna Beach. I live near all three campgrounds in town and this morning I saw many campers pulling out so I assume the campgrounds were busy. However as Winky mentioned the traffic around here is way off from usual. I see more and more scooters on the road every day.

As mentioned above I think the stimulus checks have allowed many people to travel THIS weekend (temporary fix). We are leaving on a 2-3 thousand mile trip this week. We almost canceled, but we figure it will cost more next year so are going anyway. Might not be able to next year.
