We use the gallon jugs of distilled or spring, and would like to buy them there instead of haul the extra pounds across the country. How about other stuff like milk and bread?
Really, they sell water by the gallon in Yellowstone, last heard California Stole all the water west of the Missippi. Guess I can't beleave all I've read. LOL...

We have plenty of our own, we don't need to steal it. Thanks for your concern in your completely needless statement that had nothing to do with this thread.
To the OP, as others have said, you can buy bottled water at the general store at Fishing Bridge and others in the park. Basic grocery needs are easy to come by at Yellowstone, but you will pay a premium.

When we were at Yellowstone a couple of years ago we stayed at Fishing Bridge. Knowing it would be more expensive in the park, we stopped at the Walmart in Cody to stock up on groceries before entering the park for a 5 day stay. We also use the gallon jugs of water for drinking and cooking and purchased some there.
The General Store at Fishing Bridge did have a small grocery, which we did use for a few things. I do believe they sold drinking water there but, as I said, it's been several years.
As others have pointed out, the General Stores (formerly Hamilton Stores) have limited groceries at high prices. There are grocery stores in West Yellowstone too, though I would guess their prices are also high. (Typical of many tourist spots.)
The tap water in Yellowstone, IMO, is among the best anywhere - if I were you, I'd save some of the empty gallons you use along the way and refill them with tap water when you're in the park. Better than any you can buy, and the price is right too.
