Here's a video showing the damage to the trailer. Do you think ductape will take care of it for now?

Eternabond tape should do it.

It's not that bad but once you fix it you'll need a 1 ton to pull it.

A bit of super glue might be needed in addition to the Eternaobond.

Guy must have really not liked that trailer

I think the super glue is a bit over kill for such a small hole
