OK I have a Honda EU2000i and I love it. I don't know alot about this stuff so bear with me.
It puts out 2000 watts at a burst and continuous output of about 1600 watts, all at 13.6 amps. (I think)
If I break down and buy a second one to run in tandem will it now put out 27.2 amps? Will I be able to plug my 30 amp cord directly into them or will I still need to use am adapter? Will it run my AC 15kBTU?

You meant to say, all at 120 volts. Portable generators all produce 120 volt electricity, the same as household power. One with higher power, wattage, produces higher current, amperage.
Yes, two EU2000's connected in parallel will give twice the current of one, actually 13.3 amps x 2 = 26.6 amps. However, you can't plug directly into either one and get more than just its output. You have to have a paralleling kit which includes an outlet, preferably a 30 amp RV outlet, that combines the two generators -- like this one.
Yes, the paralleled generators will run your 15kBTU air conditioner just fine, and have power left over for battery charging, etc.

The EU2000i puts out 2000 watts for 30 minutes (not burst) and 1600 watts (13.6 amps) continuously.

I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

You get 26.6 amps out of them paralleled (Honda's Measurment, not mine)

You can buy the Honda Parallel cable and use the standard plug when parallel them. IT DOES utalize both gens to make 26.6 amps to the plug. This is covered in the Honda cable instructions.

What I did, for the sake of convience, is to buy the Honda Cable, cut it in half, wire it to a RV 30amp plug inside a box and you have a parallel cable that hooks diectly to your shore power cord. This saves you from using a 30amp to 15amp dogbone.

Hub, does that mean I can get by with the Cheaper 20amp parallel kit and just change the end to a 30amp female?

You can make your own parallel cables for about $25 if you want to. Do a search on this site and there are some instructions available.

You can also add two or more extra gas tanks that will add run time to your Honda set up, instructions here.

Not change the end, but rather cut the cable in two and use the cut ends to wire to a 30 amp outlet.

Does Honda really sanction drawing 26.6 amps or more from a 15 or 20 amp outlet? Wouldn't this be an electrical code violation?
I have a pair of Honda cables and a pair of EU2000's. It would sometimes be convenient not to have to use a paralleling kit, which I also own. Any instructions I ever had for the cables are lost. Is this document available somewhere?
My paralleling kit is a very early model, from the first appearance of the EU2000's. It feeds a box with a 50 amp outlet! Apparently this was considered necessary since the maximum rated output of two 2000's is 33.3 amps. Making your own from cut cables and an RV outlet seems very practical and safe.

I have the parallel kit and on rare occassions when we are dry camping I actually use both gens for the AC or microwave. The rest of the time I plug the 30A (dogbone from 50A fiver) into the parallel kit and run one gen. I unplug the parallel wires from the gen not being run. That reminds me which gen should run the next day as I run them alternately to keep the hours even for oil changes. CW has a much less expensive cable set with no circuit breaker that does the same thing as mine. We dry camp for 6 weeks or so each winter. Rudy
