I am thinking of adding a set of Air Lift 1000s to my Kia Sedona.

The van tows great, but I am just wanting to reduce the amount of rear sag.

I looked up the installation instructions, but they are a little vague with regards to which steps I would need to follow for my vehicle.

My main concerns are whether I will need to remove the spring and whether I will need to drill anything.

Not sure if anyone out there has installed these on a Kia Sedona, but if anyone has any experience with installing them I would appreciate some opinions on how difficult they are to install.

Thanks.

May I suggest Timbrens? Very easy to install and will level out your van. If all you need to do is level your van these are great. If you have other load issues like too much weight on your rear axle, then air lifts or timbrens will only mask the problem. You may need a WDH. Check your rear axle weight when fully loaded and trailer connected and see how close you are to your limit, then decide what you need. Rear lift or weight distribution. Here's a link for the Timbrens.

I installed Airlift 1000 spring airbags on my Ford Windstar and have been pleased with them. See pics of the installation linked below.

If you have the confidence in your DIY skills to tackle jobs like brake shoe replacement or shock absorbers, you'll have no problems installing spring airbags.

Those pictures really made it clearer for me regarding the installation. I've done brake pads and shocks before so I think I should be fine.

The main problem I have is that the hitch on the van is only about a foot off the ground to start with and then sinks a couple inches when we hook up the camper. If I can reduce some of that sag, then I will feel a little better.

I considered a WD hitch, but the hitch that came with the van specifically says not to use it with a WD hitch. I would buy an after-market hitch, but the factory hitch has this weird bracket that the exhaust pipe runs through. After-market hitches are solid and I can't figure out what I am supposed to do with the exhaust pipe if I go to one of those.

Thanks for the info.

JSTORTA... UHAUL did my class 3 hitch on my Mazda MPV @ reasonable price. That allowed me to usw WDH for my rig and its worked great. I'm in Rock Hill if you need any info. PM me if you like.
