My black water tank always regesters 2/3s full. What is there to use on the market or home fix it that will clean the crud from the sensor?? Thanks in advance. Phil

I personally haven't tried it but others have said to put 5 gallons or so of water in the tank and add a couple of bags of ice, then take the rig out for a trip down some windy roads so that the water has a chance to slosh around the inside of the tank. Between the water and the ice it is supposed to clean the probes. You may also try using one of the flushing things that goes down the toilet and try to direct the spray towards the sensors (you should be able to ID thier location by the wiring coming out of the tank) and maybe that will dislodge whatever is causing the false readings. Good luck.

Whatever you'll do will be a short term solution. You can either live with the problem or the continuous periodic cleaning, or spring for the outside mounted sensors such as are in the SeeLevel or Snake River Electronics (or others) systems. I've used Snake River and now have a SeeLevel and would recommend either.

Several technicians have suggested
use of Pine Power, a 'PineSol'
type product sold in many stores.

I used the detergent and water softener from the GEO method and fixed gagues that hadn't worked correctly in 20 years. I use Happy camper in the black tank and the sensors arfe still working years later.

Happy camper will work to fix the gauges as well. Just follow the directions. They make a blaster product but we just tried the regualr happy camper and it fixed our gauges in both tanks. I would highly recommend a full hookup site to be at when fixing the problem.

I had same 2/3rds full problem. Stopped at a CW and they recommended a granular (I think) product but I don't remember name. It was next to Aqua Chem products. I put it in, filled up (or nearly so) tank with water, let it sit overnight then drove it to agitate (or v.v.), then dumped it. Directions are on container. It worked like a charm.
