and I am loving it!!! I wish we would have started "camping" sooner. It is so nice to be able to get up and turn the heat on and have your coffee brewing first thing in the morning. I like tent camping too, but this beats the mess out of that. I told dh last night I couldn't wait for our next camping trip! This is addictive!!!

Now just think of how much more enthusiastic you'd be if gas was at $2.00 p/g!
Glad to hear you're loving it!

Yeah, tents are cool but it is very hard not to like waking up in some beautiful campsite, having a warm bathroom to head off too, make coffee just as you do at home then stroll outside and watch the world go by on your comfy lawn chair.
Although I stay in Provincial Parks mostly I still cant bring myself to call it camping. RVing is more truthful. My Dad calls it out this way - when you walk to the bathroom you're camping, when you bring it with you you're RVing

The problem is when you can't go camping due to work, weather, etc. Then it drives you crazy wanting to go.
I always feel sorry for the people who live where it's very cold in the winter and they have to wait till spring.
Before we retired we would take our RV to a nearby campground (about 20 miles) Thursday nite and set it up. Then Friday after work we were already in camping mode.
You don't have to travel far to have a good time. It's just the idea of getting away for a little bit that helps.

I always liked tent camping but advancing age and increasing weight made it more and more difficult to get up off the ground, etc. Having all the conveniences of home in a pastural setting is great. My Dad made the comment about our first TT "that ain't camping, that's living in the woods". I LIKE LIVING IN THE WOODS!!!

I would think a pop-up would have been fun, when I was younger. I have never camped in anything but a mh. We don't camp anymore; rarely sit outside with a fire, etc. We visit cg's to visit the area, not the cg.

I tell my friends that I'm "roughing it", because I don't have surround sound in our bedroom.

Once you get it in your system, it's there to stay. Our MH is setting at the house, we are leaving for a trip on Friday, DW says it was hard backing out of the driveway to go to work this morning, she says "Let Go Now". 11 months and 3 days until retirement, the second time. I don't thjink you can beat Camping or RVing, "roughing it in style" ours kids and friends say we are not campers. OK I'll start saying we are going RVing.
Happy RVing
