Here is their listings for my truck. What I have doesnt matter, just the disparity in the prices

NADA

Low retail $13,425
Clean Retail $14,950
High Retail $15,950

Edmunds

trade in $7,412

Private $8,828

Dealer retail $10,624

Dealer retail seems low as Ive seen them Higher

What does EBAY say? I think they are a better indication of the market for your truck.

In today's environment neither is a good indicator. If you really want to know, look at the dealer auctions. Trucks are selling for about 50% of NADA. Everybody is on panic mode right now and dealers cannot sell them so they are dumping them on the actions in hopes of getting something back.

(I can't sell my gas F-250) but I'm not going to panic. I actually dont need to sell it but I sold my Fiver so have no real reason to hold on the the F-250. I went with the private sale price from NADA or Kelly Blue Book and have an ad in the paper. Believe they also list an average trade in price.

Until NADA or Kelly Blue Book adjust truck prices per the economy, I'm not going to lower my price. my rig only has $58K on it.

I wont give it away for free just because the economy is in the tank. Someone will need a good used truck (farmer or small business) eventually.

Edmunds must have done some recent updating. I've always found them to show higher values than NADA or KBB. Interesting.

All those "book values" are created by dealers. I agree with ebay being a better indicator of current selling prices.

Around here most used Kelly blue book... seems that them and NADA are usually pretty close..... I would go by them 2.

As far as EBAY goes, I wouldnt use that but only as a LOW guide... I think Ebay people are bidding hoping to get a GREAT deal... I sold an old crotch Rocket someone gave me, and on there they were going for 1200- 1800 and I got a quick 2300 at the end of winter, would have waited til spring could have got 2800 or so..

I would look in the local auto truck trader and see what they are selling for... Well I guess it will be asking prices.. ..

But it didn't sell!

Something is only worth what you can get someone else to pay.

NADA/Edmunds are guides, but always seem on the high side.

E-bay is probably the best indicator, IF you only look at what stuff actually goes for.
Bids and buy-it-now don't mean squat unless the deal goes down.
