We will be traveling at end of this month and want to stay overnight somewhere off of I84 at the halfway point to Mass (probably just before Hartford)--anyone can tell me where we can go for 1 night so we can put slides out etc...50 amp/2 slides/38ft? I want to stay clear of 95 in Ct...Will catch 684 to get to 84.

Thanks..

Thanks.

Dogs, you might try this site?

http://www.rvparkreviews.com/

The site link generator isn't working. I use this site to plan our trips and it helps having our peers rating RV parks?

I don't believe there are any RV/Parks/Campgrounds right off I84 near that area.
There is, however a very nice truckstop off exit 28 called Milldale American Eagle.

If you need a dump station, you can stop at the rest area off exit 2, I84 in Danbury, or there is a "sani-dump" at mile marker 84 off I84.

Too bad you want to "stay clear" of 95. Plenty of stuff that way.
I always go that way. You ride nice and easy along the water. You can stop at Mystic Ct and have a nice walk around.

Good Luck

Hi bullydogs,
My wife and I stayed here on our way to Boston. I remember going through Hartford around midnight....from there, it was all a blur. We loved it, stayed two weeks.

I agree with Jakeman, Strawberry Park is a nice spot. You are also welcome at the casino lots at either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. (Can be reached via Rt. 2 if you want to avoid I95) Whatever you do, avoid the Sturbridge, MA Jellystone Park unless you like blairing rap music with filthy lyrics and a staff that does not seem to mind it.

Bullydogs..check out Strawberry Park's pet rules first. We were told that our dogs had to stay on site. No walking through the park with them. We ended up staying at Foxwoods resort for the overnight. They may have changed the rules so you should check.

We spent a week at Ace's High RV Park in East Lyme, CT last 4th of July week....it was wonderful....it has absolutely level long and wide sites.....with all full-hookups.....we loved it.

I 95 was not a factor

Here is a video tour of Aces High
Here is a short video

I would for sure go back.....family owned by great people....quiet, and away from all the traffic and noise.....I had a great week there.

I live in Ct and if you take rt84 it is doughtful you will find what you are looking for, I know of none. Strawberry park and the casino's are well out of yor way if you do not go rt95. Where in Mass you are going will make a big difference.
