Our new TT came with the RVQ and it's great for two people. I cooked kabobs, chicken, burgers, chops, lamb chops, steaks and even squash, baked potatoes and a 5lb standing rib roast. I even used some soaked mesquite chips on my heat deflector to add a little smoke flavor to the rib roast. I don't use the heat deflector that came with it and made one from part of an old computer case. I line both the whole bottom, poke some holes in the bottom for vents with heavy duty foil, take out the burner and put one of the webber foil drip pans in the very bottom and put the burner back in. My custom heat deflector fits nicely over the burner and into the pan. I also line the grill portion with the heavy duty or even the light foil and poke holes in it. I had problems with flare ups and solved that by putting a piece of foil over the heat deflector where the meat would be on the grill top and that helped a lot. I don't find clean up that hard since the foil keeps things fairly clean. Ours also came with the carry case and if I don't clean it before putting it away for immediate use at the next CG I just wrap the grill in a large old beach towel to keep any grease, etc. from getting on the storage case.

I don't think I would have paid retail for one, but it was basically free as this was a left over trailer already on the dealers lot and was their loaded version and the other leftover of the exact same model was the stripped and they were both the same price.

Doesn't anyone use charcoal anymore?

I just vouched from my first outing this year.....as every other campsite was using a gas BBQ...I had bought a round 20" charcoal
portable stand one for $14.00 at Canadian Tire. Within minutes I had every campsite looking over in envy to that sweet smell and awesome tasting meat!

I have cleaned my last gas BBQ for camping.....I'm resorting back to charcoal or the open fire for BBQ....isn't that what its all about?
Ya,ya I know gas is faster...what's the rush?

Our RVQ came as one of the(free?)throw-ins when we bought the previous camper. We cook all types of meals from grilling shrimp, fish, steaks to our latest adventure of Bison burgers. I have even built a jalapeno cooker for it. It too came with a nice carry case. I generally clean mine out after each trip before storing. (Prevents enticing ants and other crawlies from moving into your camper for a free meal.)

We carry charcoal with us all the time but with the burn bans many of the parks will not allow fires with some parks pushing it to include charcoal. We use it when we can for Dutch oven dishes, fajitas, etc.

Someone else referencing a case! Does anyone know if I can get a case for the Side Kick that came with my 2008 Jayco?
