Don't forget the bug spray. The one with the most deet works best. Also get a "after Bite" stick in case you get caught. It is a roll on stick that you apply directly to the bite. Works great.

Have you stayed there before? If not, did you know that cart rental is about $50 per day; about the sams as the site. Also, campers can go the the lodges outside the campground for meals. Take the shuttle.
One of the best food deals in the campground is the cheese pizza takeout from the restaurant next to the Hoop Dee Do Review (can't think of the name of it right now). You have to go there to order but it only takes about 15 minutes.

The restaurant is Trails End...the buffet there is really good as well. Typical Disney!

I am partially joking but sometimes I wonder if they spray for bugs there. We have been many times at different times of the year and I have to say...we have NEVER had a problem with bugs. Sometimes at night I have been woken up with the sound of some sort of vehicle and it sounds like spraying sound to me. Not a bad idea to bring something just in case though!

Take some extra bread to feed the ducks. They wander all over the park. Kids loved feeding them.

Water shoes, if you're going to the water park, marshmallows, choc. and graham crackers (better to bring your own for chip and dales movies than to buy them there plus a marshmallow roaster.)

I also read on a Disney site somewhere that you should make a copy of your cards that allow you to get into the parks and everything. They said if you have a copy of the back you can present that if you lose the actual card. I don't know how true this is, but the people that discussed it, said it saved them lots of money when they lost their cards. They claim that was the only way to have them reissued. We arrive on June 17th this year for our second trip to the Fort and I plan to inquire about this. We never thought about what we would do if our kids lost their cards, or if we happened to misplace them. Something to think about.

I would also have a plan for where everyone will meet if your party gets separated. Have a great time at the house of Mouse! We might see ya there! We'll be there June 17-26. Happy Camping QT2

We arrive at the Fort on June 19 and are there until the 29th. This is our first time and we are looking forward to it. We have heard nothing but raves about the campground. The only thing I have seen that might be needed is several people have mentioned needing an extension cord as that the hook up was sometimes a reach. We are camping in our '07 Rockwood Freedom 2280 pup. I have a question, has anyone ever used the "survival blankets" that you can get at Cabellas to reflect the heat off the bunkends? If so, how did they work?

The one thing I thought was funny was that once there, you DON'T drive your car...if you order something from the restaurant by the Hoop De Do Review place...there's no parking...for cars! (or at least none we found)

There's PLENTY of parking for golf carts, which we rented and EVERYONE drives around...you can drive them to the bus area to catch a bus...drive them to the boat area to catch a boat...or just drive them around...VERY FUN...and they all have numbers and you take the key out, so no one will take your cart...unless you leave the keys in!! They "do" get booked up and so you will want to rent it in advance...otherwise you can catch the buses that drive around the outer circles of the camping areas, which are fine...but the golf carts are, well...just part of the experience...and a lot of fun...and if you "don't" have one...you might feel a little left out! But hey...just "my" opinion!!

And "do" enjoy Ft. Wilderness! There are some fun parks and stuff to see and do around there...besides going to the Magic Kingdom, etc.

Have fun...I have to say, "I'm J E A L O U S !!!!"
