I use a cover on my 2003 Outback. Make sure the cover ismade from a fabric that is breathable. My TT looks almost brand new.

Last year I built a 35x40 man cave.I can not relate how much less maintenance I now do with either my water toy or TT.

We have just a fabric over for our trailer, but store it in a fenced area at our house that is not covered. So technically it is, but it isn't, if that makes any sense.

Does a 42x94' fully enclosed machine shed count? Sure makes maintenance easier in the wind, rain, snow, cold, heat.... You get the idea. Consider at least an electrical outlet so you can plug in, and if you can spring it, a water, sewer dump and perhaps an air line. (also makes a good hideout when DW is on the warpath, or you just want to get away)LOL

We built the cover below. Not the fanciest, but works. We are fortunate to have an acre parcel. It sure protects your investment from the harsh sun and winter weather and keeps it clean. This is approx. 35 feet deep 16 feet wide and as I recall 15 feet on the highest side with a slight grade on the metal roof. Cost was about $3300 to build 3 years ago. Most indoor storage places are around $100 a month, so we figure this year we paid for our shelter.

I see most everyone does have a shelter! We just had no clue 8 years ago when we bought this rig.

We've got the pad concreted and a septic outlet there. We also have electricity. Our next project is the metal beams which we are more than likely not going to be able to afford because of the rising prices.

I doubt this would be the case, and I would bet a overwhelming majority do not have shelters...

most probably don't even have the concrete pad to park them on...

I agree, here in Houston there are MANY fenced grass lots that people pay to keep there RV's, Big Rigs, Dump Trucks etc. in.

We pay for a fully enclosed self-storage shed that only I have the key to. It costs 80/mo. but it is definitely worth it to us.

We pay $100 a month for covered storage with electric. It has really helped. We learned a lot from having a boat. The heat is a killer during long exposure. I see a lot of people leave their rigs out in the elements but yet they have a garage for their cars. A RV/TT/fiver is an investment as well. The better we take care of it the longer it will last.
