We use Awesome, too, but diluted 10 parts water to 1 part Awesome. Last year I had to use a 5 to 1 solution on some tough places, but today the weaker solution worked. We spray it on a 3 or 4 foot wide area, then wipe with damp cloth, then rinse off that section. The wax we applied last year made the streaks much easier to remove. Tomorrow we'll wax it.

I have used the Black Streak Cleaner from Camping World and it works great.
I have also used white polishing compound and cleaner wax. If you keep your rig waxed the streaks will be easier to clean off.

I use the RV steak remover from Wal Mart. I have tried several other items but this works the best for me and doesn't take allot of elbow grease. You have to keep after them for sure!!!

Mike, loved your response..........and you're absolutely right. Anyway, I just tackled this project and tried Awesome after being suggested on this forum. I mixed 5 parts h2o to 1 part Awesome on a fibreglass sided trailer. Worked good I thought. I'm glad you made this post because it just reminded me I forgot to wax one side...........gotta go.

Gee I was thinking the same thing, as long as this Forum has been around you could do a search on any subject and never need to post a question.
If the TT has been neglected for 2 years then you will more then likely need to get a light duty rubbing compound and buff them out. After that 2 coats of a good past wax will be next. You will need to wash the roof using a mild detergent and a brush. You might want to start with washing the roof first then the TT before waxing.

Again.... AWESOME! I got it at Dollar Tree for a buck. I sprayed on and wiped it off with a towel and it truely is awesome. I think Ill dilute it in a bucket of water and use my brush to see how that works. For a dollar you cant do better.

Thanks
I was having problems with black streaks plus tree debris washing over the side of my trailer ....

I decided to not fight them, but try and prevent them with installing RainKap ...

Best as I can tell this should do the job on a permanent basis, but has not been on long enough with enough rain to be sure.
Fingers crossed.

Mop340Cuda wrote: All I did was ask a simple question. I did not think of doing a search. Half this forum is duplicate questions and replies. Maybe somebody has a new answer or knows of a new product. If you don't want to answer my questionthen don't. But as you can see there are plenty of NICE people out there willing to help.
So to those NICE people, I Thank You for your replies.
I've done searches, knowing that I have read something on a topic before and wanting to find it again, and am constantly coming up with "zero" matches. Searching doesn't always work.
I'm having the same issue. The day we left on our maiden voyage, it was raining. I took a towel and swiped away at the streaks on the front side of the trailer. They sort of smeared.... anyway, we washed the trailer the other day with a telescopic brush and cleaner and you can still see the swirl marks from that first day. Everywhere else it came clean. Hubby tried the "black streaks cleaner" that he bought at maybe Wally's or somewhere, and it did nothing. I don't understand it, it was JUST a towel.... Now I'm wondering if this is going to be permanent. I'm afraid to use anything on just that spot and having a huge re-wax job on our hands. There's never enough hours in the day for us part-time rv'rs. The stick house needs attention too, hello!!!
If you find something that works, that doesn't require a follow up wax, would you please PM me? Because I would hate to have to search for this thread and come up empty...

I use Mr. Clean Magic eraser AND Black Streak remover. Spray Black Streak Remover on the Eraser and lightly scrub. It comes right off. Once the effectiveness starts to diminish, it's time for another spray of the black streak remover on the eraser.
