Do you use tire covers when stored? IMO they help a lot.

Sounds like Michelin has a quality control problem.
Even living here in the high heat of the desert I've never had a tire get sidewall cracks in the the first year and I've never owned a set of tire covers.

I suspect you are the victim of high ozone concentrations, lots of ultraviolet radiation, and high temperatures. Are you parked near large electrical transformers or motors? They generate ozone, which is the worst enemy of tires. You might be able to solve your problem by driving the MH 10+ miles each week to be sure the antiozonants have a chance to migrate to the surface frequently. Tire cover may, or may not, help-they protect from uv, but really don't do anything for ozone.

Is not this a current known issue with some lines of Michelin?

What were/are the date codes on the tires? Could they have been old to begin with? Tire covers do protect from the sunlight along with frequent driving to exercise the tires and bring up the chemicals that are supposed to prevent this, whatever they are called, not a chemist so I don't know the name, just know they are in there.

I have two friends that just had Michelins replaced under warranty after just one year. One set had 13k the other 60k. The dealer that replaced them didn't seem surprised. I don't believe it is from just sitting in the sun.

Thanks to all replies,
I do drive the coach each week, just to run to the grocery store or into twon.
It gets about 25 or 30 miles a week.....
No transformers, or motors, just telephone poles.
Puzzlement.

Check the date of mfg. Than do what I did see what brand of tires UPS uses. They have the money to do research, you and I don't have. BTW they use Goodyear.
