I know that I have seen the directions for removing the slideout covers posted somewhere. I have tried the search option but cannot find it. I need to know how to remove the cover so I can take them to a awning company and have new ones made. I have the A&E slide out covers. I would appreciate any help.

I just did it. Really easy job. Do a search on here, there is a ton of information. Basically, I put the slide all the way out. Manually turned the roller arm the rest of the way out to expose the entire awning. Stuck a strong cotter pin into the hole at the front side of the roller arm to hold the awning roller in place. Removed the screw on the coach awning rail that holds the awning from moving, and slid the awning right out towards the front. It is stiff, so you kind of have to work it a little at a time.

DITTO, we replaced ours a few months ago, wasn't difficult at all, just be careful when unrolling and re-rolling.

Wow....I was just getting ready to ask the same question. Ours tore on our way home from Disney last week.

Where do you go to get the new cover/cloth material?

Thanks much,
Phil

You can order the replacement material directly from the awning manufacturer. The price seems reasonable. They also have directions for changing the material. Be sure you have a positive way to keep the roller from turning as that is the only hazard besides falling off the ladder.

I removed mine at home as shown above then took them to a local awning place I found in the yellow pages. They charged me about $45 each for the exact material as A&E uses.

Our local awning shop ordered sumbrella fabric that matches the patio awning, and replaced both slide awnings for $260 total. Richard
