Been lurking for a couple of months in the HTT forum trying to decide what to do with our 1998 water-damaged Aerolite TT (lots of 'em from the 1990's had water tightness problems).
Decided to sell it as a "hunter's special". It sold within 24 hours! Great, now DW and I can go purchase a new 2008 Roo 23SS that you all helped make the decision easy for us.
Found two problems with it during our trial campout. 1, the city water hookup plate leaked, but was easily replaced. And 2, the slide along the top towards the front does not seal well. Sticks out from the camper side a 1/2 inch more than the rear of the slide. Fixed that with some self-adhesive weather stripping.
We're now good to go camping in two weeks at the Mackinaw, Michigan KAO. Mackinaw City is a great tourist spot where the "Mighty Mac" bridge joins the two peninsulas.

If you get back to the dealer, have them adjust your slide-out. It is actually pretty easy to do and will seal up that gap, plus you want to make sure your drive rails for the slide are aligned parallel so you don't get abnormal wear or stress on the motor.
The gap is while in the closed position and the bottom of the slide is in full proper contact with the camper wall all along the bottom as is the vertical side seals. The top seal is fully formed and attached OK to the camper. Perhaps the top front of the slide is a bit warped?
Congrats on the 23SS! Love the pix and that's quite a watchdog you've got. Have always wanted to go to Mac, but not exactly on our way anywhere. Maybe someday.

Certainly possible... These are production trailers so quality control has some wide tolerances...
Let me encourage you to get a slide topper as well, there are well worth their price!
