Are you looking at new or used? Ours is a Dynasty, but I have found Monaco Coach to be one of the best RV manufacturers out there. They maintain records of all their coaches built so if you have a problem they can pull your build sheet and tech support can walk you thru a fix. We've put 100k on ours and its still going strong. The fit and finish inside is above average, mostly hardwoods. You can PM me if you want any more info....Dennis
We went from a 2003 Fleetcrap DP to our present coach and IMHO for the money, there is no other in it's class. Sure it had some problems when new, but what coach doesn't. Monaco didn't hesitate once, they fixed everything to our satisfaction at one of their factory service centers and the coach has been awesome since. The materials and construction methods are above the norm in the RV industry, IMHO.
Some will say to go with the Allegro Phaeton, but it is not equal to the Diplomat/Endeavor, it is a step lower and equal to the Ambassador. You will like the Monaco product, if you take the time to look into the construction and the customer service, both nothing short of way above average.

Don't know how old you want to go, but our '99 Diplomat has been great. We have vacationed in it and even used it for extended periods when moving. We bought it used and have never had any significant issues. It even made it through Hurricane Wilma with just minor damage. The 8-bag system is outstanding for controlling lean and for stability while driving. I would recommend the brand and model to anyone who want a functional, well put together coach.

In the 4th year with our Camelot and have never regretted it. We looked at every make and model and settled on the Monaco because of customer support. Never have had to return the coach for any repairs but any question I have ever had was answered with a phone call. As far as going from fifth wheel to class A, that is what we did several years ago and have never regretted it.

We love our Monaco Windsor. We purchased it used in 2005 with 30,000 miles. We now have approximately 60,000 miles. The first time we headed out was to a 5-day Monaco Pre-Rally in California. I had 15-20 items that I either didn't know how to operate or that didn't work.
At the rally the Monaco staff allowed you to request repair of 2 items. During the rally I talked with their staff about my other problems/questions and they either explained how they worked, or how to fix them all. They even came back to my unit and fixed several additional items. Our cost was $0 for the repairs, we couldn't believe it. I understand there policy is to charge only for parts at these rallies.
We're sold on Monaco but there are other excellent motorhomes out there as well. And, I sure they all have lemons. We've heard lots of war stories on every make.

I have a 2006 HR Scepter. We have had our share of problems, mostly minor, mostly with components (i.e. inverter, step, etc.) Nothing is perfect, if I bought again I would probably get something else but I wouldn't avoid a Monaco if it was what I liked. At worst, its average, at best its better then average. The company does stand behind what it sells and customer service is quite helpful.
I currently have a 2001 Monaco Knight (my 2nd Monaco) and a Class C Dutchmen. Both are good motorhomes but the Dutchmen doesn't even come close to the Monaco in quality of fit, finish and materials. If I decided to replace the Knight I'm sure it would be replaced with another Monaco product.
