I want a new, more comfortable, driver's seat for our Jayco Seneca. Anybody have opinions about what to get or where to shop?

The Kodiak chassis has many features of an Express/Savana van. The seats are one of them. Head rest and seat back must get narrower than seat to clear side of cab. If you are unhappy with the seats in your Kodiak. Make sure you get to set in the seats you decided on buying. Seating is very personal.
One of the best places to find seats is in Elkhart,IN. area. Maybe a trip to that area will help to find some seats. Lots of other things to do in the area.

While on this subject, I was just wondering if it would be possible to add extra padding to the bottom of the seat instead of getting all new seating?

I have looked at these. They are pricey, out of my current budget, but look like they would be a nice addition.

I'm pretty new here... and haven't done an intro yet. We just purchased a vintage Coachman class C.... BUT, I do upholstery for a living. (specializing in classic cars). Check with your local trim shops. Most shops can add high dense pad to an existing seat. The job will likely be cheaper if you remove the seat and take it to them. Also, ask them about adding a gel pack to the seat. Many shops that do motorcycle seats use them. Only about an inch thick, and they are very comfortable. They run about $50-$60 and can be installed under the seat cover with no noticable difference to the look of your factory seat. That's my 2 cents! Stitch
*** Additionally, if you desire lower back lumbar support... trim shops can order "air bags" that install under the seat cover and pump up with a hand valve / ball similar to the ones used on a blood pressure cuff. They are excellent for long trips when you need that extra support.
