My tent was stolen last weekend, and I'm thinking of purchasing this tent. I've found only good reviews, but anyone have anything to add, positive or negative? We're a family of 5, but probably won't all go at the same time. The teens will probably take friends, though, so we want a large space. I have a smaller tent as well.

Sorry to hear your tent was stolen...where was it stolen from? Garage? Yard? Campsite?

CG. It was known for being rowdy at times, but it has a motel that borders the CG that my elderly mother can stay in. The CG was evacuated because of weather. Some returned to their sites later that night, whereas we stayed with my mother in her room. The next morning my tent and two beds were gone, as well as some small things. We'd packed most of it up and put in the truck when the weather looked like it may turn bad.

First time out in the tent, and I haven't even started paying on it

Man, I hate theives. Sorry that you lost your stuff.

I've got a Cougar Flats tent and I like it. I can set it up by myself, if I'm not too clumsy that day. It guys down for good wind resistance too. I think it's a sturdy tent.

The main room is more of a living room than a bedroom. You walk thru that room to get to the other room. It's nice in that the wall is fully zippered, not just a hanging sheet of fabric. The living room can be closed to serve as a bedroom tho. Both rooms have good ventilation and the rain fly covers the whole tent.

The remote control light is nice too. I like the wheels on the carry bag.

It may be too big for some campgrounds if they supply a pad.

That's about it, I think you'll like the tent.

I hate theives ! I worry about this type of thing happening while we are away from the campsite during the day... Hope you find a new tent, that you will like MORE!

We just bought two tents from Costco, they are HUGE- we put the teens in one and me, hubby and the dog stay in the other.

Sorry about your stuff getting stolen!

We have this tent and really like it. DH and I sleep on one side with cots and there's a little space to spare. 3 DDs and 1 black lab sleep on the other side with self-inflating pads. Not too much wiggle room left. DH loves that he can stand up in it (5'11").

Fairly easy set-up once you know how to do it. I'm 5'2" and have set it up by myself.

The storage bag has wheels on it which sometimes comes in handy. However, the storage bag is not very roomy and we always have to cram the tent into it and sit on the bag to zip it up.

During one camping trip it rained a lot and water got under the tent. The water did not come through the floor.

Hope this helps!

We have this tent but only used it a few times before upgrading to a trailer...

It performed beautifully in one of the worst rain storms I've been in. I'm 6'3" and don't recall having any height issues. Easy to set up compared to some of the other ones we tried before settling on it. Good ventilation, plenty of room and overall good fit & finish.

Nothing but positive to say about it other than what the above poster mentioned on the storage bag being a bit small... not a real problem though.
