I'm checking out a cherry 1999 VW Jetta, stick shift. I don't know if it's towable or not, can anybody help me out?

Thanks,
Gene

Volkswagen will tell you no, but my parents tow a 2000 Jetta Wagon TDI with a stick, and haven't yet had any problems. Turn the ignition to accessory to make miles don't show on odometer and get the proper setup and you should be fine.

Well, bespinct, your the only reply I received. I personally couldn't see why one couldn't tow a stick shift safely. I appreciate your reply.
