Has anyone been to the Jellystone in Quarryville this year? How far along is the new waterpark. Their website stated it would be open by mid May and now it says mid June. I was just wondering if it will be open by Father's day weekend. Thanks, Pat

We haven't been there yet this year. Still planning the summer trips, and this is one campground we try to get to once or twice a year. With the campsite price increased..would love to know if the water park is done before we go.

Thats what we are wondering also. We have been booked for a while now and are hoping the water park is completed by the time we get there. I will not be happy because that is the reason we booked there. We will still have fun if it is not but for the price I woould hope it is.

Some of my family live in the vicinity of the Yogi Bear Campground and according to them it could by July till the water park is finished. Be aware that the rates have nearly doubled to cover the water park admission whether you want to use it or not. The most recent poster on rvreviews said they will not be going back due to the extreme price increase.
I have never been there and most likey won't as we have heard horror stories regarding the owner and his one son. They seem to be very nice to most of the campers, I guess for business purposes, but the owner in particular terrorizes the neighborhood and the township. Most folks and business owners in Quarryville are afraid to do business with him. Some of the older posts on rvreviews reflect this as some campers have been introduced to his wrath.
But , anyway, it would be a good idea to call and check when the water park will be open, sounds as though the price increase is in effect now even though it is not open yet....

Thanks for all the replies. We are going to decide very shortly to bg the plans to go. Along with the high cost, the water park not being complete and some obligations that have come up. If the waterpark is not there, there really is no reason to go up. I really hate to cancel a camping trip but it just may not be worth.
Jacdanboy - Thanks for making the effort. It definately will help. The rates are the highest that we have paid but thought it would be worth it to check out the new water park. TTYL

I was just looking at the website last night and Yogi is actually more expensive than Frontiertown in Ocean City, MD.
I'm sorry but $88 per night for a basic W/E/S site in Lancaster, PA is just crazy. That had better be one PHENOMENAL water park.
I would assume that they will not be charging those rates until the water park is open for business but I could be wrong.

Thanks for all of the posts. My wife and I decided just to cancel. She called to ask about the water park and they were "hoping" it would be open by next weekend. They could not give her an exact answer. The woman on the phone could not even state if they would discount the fees or refund any money. The pool was not even going to be open. For the money they are charging, we just said never mind. I can camp in the driveway and use my own pool if I want. Again thanks to everyone who replied. It helped.
