$80.00 a night????? Thats about the same price as Ocean Front in Myrtle Beach !!!!! Would not be worth it to me because we would not use the water park. Definately cheaper places to go in Dutch Country than there.

Pat & Karen wrote: Thanks for all of the posts. My wife and I decided just to cancel. She called to ask about the water park and they were "hoping" it would be open by next weekend. They could not give her an exact answer. The woman on the phone could not even state if they would discount the fees or refund any money. The pool was not even going to be open. For the money they are charging, we just said never mind. I can camp in the driveway and use my own pool if I want. Again thanks to everyone who replied. It helped.
I did not know you had a pool, how big a unit can you fit in the driveway?

I think yours might be just a little for big for the driveway. If you leave the toys maybe we can work something out. Of course then I would have to trade in the TT for a Toy Hauler, then more toys, it would never stop. I would end up having to sell the pool to buy more toys. Sweet rig!!

Hay Cowboys,
You are a little quick with the criticism and misleading information. I’m a neutral party here as we have just made reservations, however, we are getting a four day package deal, with on additional day added on, a total of 5 days.
All in all, W/S/E/Cable is costing my friends with two adults and two children about $48 per day, and us, with two adults and three children about $55 a day.
So, Sun-Friday at $48 a day is not a bad deal, considering the water park is included in the price.
I’ll let you know how it went. We are going July 27-Aug 1.

Reynz,
The mid-week package you got is definitely a good deal. However, I think that most people are looking at weekend getaways which are running $88/night. Even the mid-week prices are $71/night if you don't go for the 4 night package that you got.
I have been to this CG several times over the last 8 years or so and while it's a nice park it's just not worth the regular rates they are now charging. If we find the need to go there again it will have to be in the off season when the "resort" rates are not in effect. There's plenty of other CG's in the area to choose from that are more realistic in their pricing.

There was yet another 1/2 star post made about the Quarryville Yogi Bear Park on the rvparkreviews site. That's 3 in one month. I am a camper and live in the vicinity of the Q-ville Yogi Bear Park. We thought it was just the locals that he disliked! For those looking to come to the Lancaster area, there are many nice campgrounds closer to the attractions such as Strasburg, Dutchwonderland, the outlets, Hershey, etc.

Oh, one other thing: Be cautious about the water park, we heard it could be well after July 4th, maybe later, until the mega-park is open. Something to do with the electrical supply and the need to have the incoming lines updated.

I am curious if anybody goes to the campground this weekend and if the waterpark is open because I had to call and cancel my reservations because my wife decided to take on a pole with my superduty and lost. She is fine but our camping is on hold for a couple of weeks. I was told the waterpark was to open this weekend and would have been open by next weekend for sure. I am curious if I was being told the truth.
