Chuck: You can use Carnation Instant Breakfast with skim milk and it is cheaper and has more flavors. Or you can go to a health food store and buy protien powder and make your own. Just make sure you buy the WHEY protien. The Obesity Helpline has a lot of recipes. No sense throwing money away.

My doctor has stopped taking medicare so I have to find another one. Will continue to stay on the 6 month pre-op diet. Have the psych eval out of the way. Chug chug, chug. One step at a time.

Hi All,

Thank you for replies, I appreciate all of them.

Cat, yep, I did feel like I wanted to run a marathon, in my dreams! It was definitely strange.

Craig, I am staying the course and will not waver from it! Life's ultimate goal will be my reward.

Bette, thank you for the tips, good luck to you!

Thanks again to all,

C & T

Hi All,

The results are in from the Nuclear Stress Test and the Echocardiogram, but I can't find out anything until Monday at 4:00 when I meet with my cardiologist.

After I get home Monday evening, I'll post an update about what's going on. Hopefully, my new surgery date is going to be 08/08/08. I have faith that I'm going to be "cleared for takeoff!"

Barry, Karen, Judy and Bob,

Thank you so much for your positive support! I'm going to get there eventually if I stay the course and keep focused on the goal in front of me!

Take care and thank you for your posts.

Good luck!! I´ve read a lot about the lap-band and it sure works. Not as invasive as gastric by-pass and you loose weight at a healthy pace. Keep us posted! I would love to do it, but insurance does not cover it here yet. Still working out and trying to diet. We will sure encourage you!
