Something else to look at before attempting this mod is what is in the dinette seating? Some units have wheel wells, gas lines, power cords, etc. routed through the dinette seating areas. In my unit there is a propane line that goes to the outside BBQ under the inside of one of my benches.
I would replace my dinette (which I hate) with a couple of nice chairs and a smaller table. But, the converter / breaker panel & 30 amp cord is under one bench and the fresh water tank is under the other. There really isn't any other place for all that stuff to go in my floorplan.

Well..had to go look what was underneth the booth and there is nothing. The only problem is that I will be losing two drawers that are under seating booth.Any suggestions
I removed the booth in less than an hour. It was sloppily put together with a nail gun so I covered the holes with white plastic hole covers from Lowe's. I decided to keep the table and put in two used swivel chairs from a Trailmanor. They were small and fit the space just right. I used the wheel-well cover to house the LP alarm and an outlet that were already built into the dinette.
We love the added space and it gives us a more comfortable seating area for two.
We removed the dinnette in our Aljo 170LT and I built a couch/pull-out bed to match the original one across the front of the trailer. I was able to use the paneling and some 2x2 for framing. The biggest expense was having the cushions sized for the new couch. It opened the floor plan up and didn't loose storage. Works great for me and my wife. We leave the front couch pulled out for the bed and can sit on the new couch.
