Did you clean the posts and the inside of the cable attachments (whatever they call them)? On my tractor there is a solenoid between the battery and the starter. Had to replace that a while back with the same non-starting problem.

It could be the starter solenoid.... I know our lawn tractor has a separate one on the "firewall", don't know where yours is located. It could be on the starter as well. It will look like a large relay and the positive battery cable will connect to one of the larger terminals on it and the other will complete the connection with another cable going to the starter. Check those connections and make sure they are secure. Many times if a solenoid is bad or not getting a decent connection you will get the no power, nothing at all response to trying to start a vehicle.

Since you have battery power you might try jumping across the two largest terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver. Just a light touch from one to the other will tell you if that will engage the starter. No need to start it that way unless you just HAVE to mow today and if you do well it's OK to start it that way. Otherwise, just test it and if this works to turn the starter over you will know what you need to buy.

You'll have to trace the positive battery cable to find if there is a separate solenoid. Sometimes they are integrated with the starter.

Good luck.

Now I'll go read the rest of the posts...
