Have reservations for june 21-24 at West Branch SP , Ohio. Reviews are all good. Has anybody stayed there? We are on site 113 (good site, bad site?). Have two boys ages 9 and 12, hopefully plenty to keep them occupied. Any opinions would be appreciated.
Hey there topwop from a fellow Akronite. We have stayed at West Branch SP many times. We have always found it to be a nice, friendly, and clean CG. We haven't got out there yet this year, but it is definitely on our list. They also do a nice Halloween outting in OCtober..might want to check that out. I dont have any of our maps for West Branch handy, but most of the sites we have stayed in have been nice. I beleive sites 10-12 ring a bell, and are pretty much right on the lake. Since it's close to Akron, might be worth you taking a drive up that way and checking out the CG. Most SP CG's will let you check out the CG for free or for a moderate visitors pass fee. Drive around and collect some notes on some of the nicer sites. Maybe we will cross paths around a CF sometime. Hope this helps!

113 is a nice site. We like 114 so the boat can be tied up within site of the rv. Tell the boys to bring the fishing poles and they should be good to go. Enjoy.
We've camped there three times, and have had a blast every time. The camp hosts/rangers do a great job of runnig programs for the kids. There is TONS of hiking, a lake with a swimming beach.
You can also drive to the boat docks and rent a pontoon boat for the afternoon. My kids are still talking about that day. One of their favorites!
You won't be disappointed. The only trouble we had was our site was very shady, and it rained. Well the mud couldn't dry up because of all the trees. DH went to town, bought cheap mulch at the gas station and put it down over the mud. Made the whole weekend much more enjoyable.
