DW and I are begining to look at a new RV (just looking at the possibility of an upgrade). We are finding lots of highend 5ers rated for full-timing, Kountry Aire, Carrage, Escalade, etc., but we are not finding TTs with this rating. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think if you search you will find units built sturdy enough and insulated well enough to full time. A big issue is weight. When a unit is built upon a sturdier chassis with more insulation and heavier building materials the weight climbs to the point that it makes sense to move up to a 5th wheel.
How big do you want to go? How much room will you need?
My aunt and uncle have been wintering (3 to 4 months at a time) in a 26' Airstream for 12 years now. No it is not the roomiest trailer, but it is built well and has served them well.
Another issue is warranty. Many manufacturers will not honer their warranties if they know your living in your unit.
What do you plan to tow with?

RV Consumer Group is the only organization, good/bad/or indifferent, that rates RVs, as far as I know. While their data isn't free, it's certainly reasonable in the overall scheme of things.
If you are considering a used RV, you might be able to find hard copy back issues of their report at public libraries. Good luck.

Jayco has no restrictions on the use of their TT's or RV's for full timing...the warranty stays in place as opposed to some brands cancelling you if they even get a wiff of your full time status. I guess that says a lot about Jayco's build quality! The Jayco Eagle is their top of the line TT's! And the warranty is a full 2 years, too!

A "Full Time" rating sounds more like marketing hype then a real rating. It's more about what makes you comfortable then anything else. We so 3-4 months in our 25' and I could go quite a bit longer but DW is beginning to get foot-ities. so we're going to get a large unit but only on the condition that I can use a 1/2 T pickup or a large SUV.
Right now a Jay-Feather 29 or 31 is at the top of the list.

We've been on the road for 16months straight in our 25' Sunline Travel Trailer.
If we were to go with a different brand, I think we'd go with a Bigfoot or a Artic Fox strictly for the 4 season status both of those campers put into their build quality.
There is another manufacturer, Citation Coach, a Canadian company that offers a 6 year warranty with their units! That's got to tell you something about their build quality. They are also rated for 4 season camping.
My wife and I opted not to get what Sunline called their Artic Package, and regret it every day. By not having dual pane windows, and a heated underbelly, we can notice a big differance when camping in cold weather. We did get the heated tanks, but thats nothing compared to having the entire floor insulated from the cold.
Dual pane windows are a must if you're going to be living in it full time! Huge mistake on our part for not going with that option straight from the manufacturer. Way more expensive to have an aftermarket company upgrade us now.
It just all depends on what size you two can live with. We've met a few couples who full time in Truck Campers! One couple fulltimes in a Tear Drop!!! And our friends call us crazy for being in only a 25 footer! I give them all the credit in the world!
