Why close the thread because it's "gotten out of hand"?????????? If you didn't want the answer, you should not have asked the question. Now you know!

Ok, let's leave this thread wide open.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING said to me here is not what I want to hear as some of you have assumed. I have a never-ending love for my country, I have a deep respect for those who have defended or are defending OUR freedom of speech, OUR way of life, OUR ability to be RVers. This may be contrary to what some of you assume, from your comments.

In fact, I fly the flag, when appropriate. Some of you "assumers" may find that hard to believe. Assume what you want.

I asked a simple question, I got some very thoughtful comments, and I got some very simple-minded comments.

Remember that saying about the word assume? When you ass-u-me something, you make an @ss out of u and out of me.

Have a nice day!

Geewizard, what did you want to hear, I don't understand why you even ask the question, their nothing wrong with what people answered. I'm not asking you the question to insult you at all, I just don't understand how you can become upset with the answers people wrote you.

maybe some people answered the way they did because we as Americans I believe are tired of having so many negative things being said about USA and how bad this great Nation is.

I believe we live in the kindest, greatest, most giving nation that has ever been or will be. I not saying we are perfect but we do try to correct our wrongs.

Best answer I can give is, take a look at how many of your RVers have had something to do with the military. Both on and off base, you will find a strong military base (active, guard, reserve, retired) who have a great love of both our country and the flag that proudly flies over it. Many of these same veterans are proud to show their love of this flag no matter where they go. Besides which, tell me it doesn't look beautiful to see an American flag waving with a the backdrop you will find in a lot of your campgrounds.
This is just my two cents worth.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled rants.

When would it NOT be appropriate?

What some think is appropriate CAN and WILL differ from what others will think appropriate.

There are guidelines for flying and I try to abide by those - WHENEVER and WHEREVER I WANT to fly my flag!

I would love to see all the flags flying again like they did right after 911.. Most loyal US citizens I think keep it to them self, until a national tragedy happens. I also sometimes fly a Confederate battle flag that belong to the only Cherokee Indian General (Stand Waitie) this country has had. Why? Cause I'm proud to say I've got a touch of Cherokee in me.

It's difficult to understand why anyone would need to explain why they display the American flag. Geewizard I hope your wrong, that it's not an "age thing," it would be ashame for only one particular group to understand the sacrifices made so that we are free to camp.

I'm curious what you ass-u-me-d when starting this thread?
