Been reading to find the holy grail of black streak cleaner and been wanting to try Awesome. I understand from posts here that it's available at your local dollar stores.

OK, so I went to the local store. They had no less than 8 to 10 varieties! Which one do I buy?!

There was an "orange" one, a "simple green" type one, a Windex type one, a 409 type one, and an "as seen on tv" one with a bullet shaped bottle.

For those who have successfully used Awesome, what flavor worked? I'm mainly interested if you used it effectively on stubborn streaks!

Thanks,
Matt

I only have one kind available to me and it works great. It is the Yellow liquid in a spray bottle with red writing.

Just a reminder, Awesome removes black streaks but also wax and sometimes paint. I always just use diluted in water, but some people use full strength. I would definitely not let it set on the vinyl graphics it would damage them for sure.

AND...Be SURE to wear rubber or latex gloves when you are working with Awesome - it is highly Alkaline and removes all grease and oils - including those in your hands and fingers!!!

As for the rig - be sure to rinse completely as it will remain on the surface and continue to 'work' if it is not completely removed (with all the other 'stuff' it has penetrated)!

I bought a product from Wally World, simply called "Black Streak Remover". It is in a simple 33 oz. spray bottle. I rinse off the MH spray this stuff on and the black streaks just go away. I very nearly can rinse off the effected area, and the streaks are gone, without scrubbing. Sure works well for me!

I just want to thank RGar974417 in another forum (that I can't seem to find at this time), for suggesting Awesome for black streaks. We have had our travel trailer for two years now (it's a 1998 Mallard, 19ft) and after scrubbing for seven hours on Sunday, it's looks better than the day we bought it from the dealer. It is in excellent condition, but we have always been bothered by the black streaks....well no more. Used Awesome, full strength with hand held scrub brush and we couldn't believe it. It's beautiful. Also found advise regarding Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for cleaning the awning. No elbow grease needed, it looks brand new. No mildew stains. Couldn't believe it. Now when the multi-million dollar rig pulls in next to us at the campground at the NASCAR race, I can feel a little better about our perfect little travel trailer! Thanks to all!

I use LA's Awesome on my TT.. BUT I also come right behind it with liquid Turtle rinse & wax.
I also use the LA's Awesome with soapy water and a good brush.
I wash down with water then clean the bucket and use the TurtleWax rinse & wax.
Once I get a chance I use the Protect-all to put a real good coat of wax on TT..
The smooth sides help with this task greatly.
I clean my awning with a mixure of 1cup bleach and 1cup landry detergent to a 4-5 gallon of hot water.
brush this mixure on and roll up awning for 5-10 minutes. repeat as needed and allow to air dry.. Make the awning look good as new.
If I want too(i.e. if I feel like it)I do the same turtle wax rinse and wax on the awning too. Air dry..
everything is clean and shiney..

I'm not exactly sure on the name, but rainx wax works great for me. It's in a blue spray on bottle and it's used for waxing while drying, or waxing alone. Anyway, it takes the streaks off with ease, and is only around 2 bucks a bottle.
