Takes us about a minute per tank for them to dump then another few minutes to flush and such. Shouldn't take 3o mintues unless you have a partial blockage or something in there.

sounds like you need to put more water into the black tank before you dump. it should help to liquefy the dark matter to help it flow better.

Both tanks will empty in less than two minutes, give or take a few seconds. There is a problem if your tanks are taking that long. The shop people don't want to fix them if they are telling you that your time is normal. I guess you can see from the responses that 5 minutes is about average.

Our last dump was about 25-30 gallons, and took just under two minutes, from coach stop to coach drive away. I am still there rinsing the hose while she pulls away and the next guy pulls up. Then I walk over and stow the hose and we leave. No tank rinsing.
If I really wanna be quick, I hook up the hose while waiting for the guy ahead of me, and walk along holding the hose while the wife drives up to the station, it is a little quicker.

Suggest next time you camp, you try filling the black water about half full and drop a bag of ice down the toilet just before you leave. Likely you have a parshal blockage and this might help

I ask because when we purchased the coach (newmar canyon star 08) it would literally take about 1/2 hour. We had them add some blocks to improve the pitch and now will still take about 15min. There is about 10 feet of tube between the tanks and the dump.
It helps if we are level or leaned toward the dump site, but this is not always possible if waiting on line to empty.
This is not an issue if we have full hookup, but if we are on a line, people are not going to be too happy if we take 15+ minutes.
Any other tips or suggestions for speeding up the process?

If it takes a long time for both maybe its the vent that is clogged or blocked somehow. It its one or the other then possibly something got in that tank during construction since it is fairly new. Has it always been like that?

Thx for your replies. I believe the issue is actually a design flaw as there is a huge amount of pipe coming from the tanks and originally they were essentially parallel to ground.
With added pitch it immediately cut down 15min on the dump time and I suspect more pitch is needed but may be physically impossible do to design. I know that there is no blockage as they have checked that out.
I'm bringing the unit back to factory for them to look at this issue next week. Thanks for confirming that 5 minutes is about the max it should take just to dump.
