I just purchased a Barker Blue Boy. Hooray! So I mounted a 2” ball and hung the handle over it.

So now I’m wondering if the handle will pop up and off when I’m towing it around. Sure would hate to see it pass me by on a down hill grade.

Just watch your speed on the pot holes. My drain cap had a tendency to pop off.

I have one of the older ones. My handle is kinda 'Z' shaped and routes through the handle on the blue boy so I have lots of weight to hold it over the ball. Like smkettner said, just watch your speed and you'll be fine.

Thanks. I'll see how it goes. If not, I'll try Lantley's advice to wrap a bungee around it and clip to the bottom of the bumper.
Tho I'd prefer to use duct tape, cause it solves everything...and I have three rolls!

Don't know how far or how fast you drive, but consider better wheels. Made a big difference for us. And NEVER back up.
A friend did back up, and had an instant jacknife and major toxic waste event. His wife always walked along behind the blue boy to be sure it was staying on, etc.
A week or so after the spillage, with a new blue boy, he stopped in the middle of the dump run and slipped the shift lever into reverse just so we could watch his wife go into apoplexy when she saw the reverse lights come on.
We still chuckle over that.

I've never had the handle pop off when towing..
Trick is to GO SLOW.. VERY VERY SLOW, Like "All ahead FULL IDLE" or slower
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

Ha ha. Knowing my DW, that would be the last time she helped me with this chore.

I'm reminded of a song I though of again yesterday.. The line goes
"I slipped hair remover into Widow Will's shampoo"
Well she played a trick on me or two"
(Widow Will was a Witch,, You know, Eye of newt, Hair of toad type Witch, Turned the prankster into an automatic garage door)

Better a garage door opener than a Blue Boy. (Trying to stay on topic here.)
