Just tie into the ones in their now....its simple... just a wire, the capacitor in there now should have another spot on it to plug the Supco into..

On mine from what I remember there was a start and run capacitor on my AC and you had to hook the supco to the start capicator, I beleive... I thought there was a diagram on the AC itself, Or I looked in the manual to see which cap was the run and start ones.. the supco I bought was easy and had good instructions....

When you guys installed these capacitors did you tie into the exsisting capacitor or did you replace the exsisting capacitor with the new hard start capacitor.
I have a '03 wildcat with 13.5 dometic AC

The existing terminals on the start capacity are "spade" or flat. The spp6e has the spade fittings that fit right onto the start capacitor.

Be sure you either ground out your Start and Run capacitors before you start wiring or be sure not to get whatever tool your going to use to put it onto the capacitor between you and the metal of the AC unit. It'll give you a little tingle...

It took me longer to remove my cover than it did to figure out the wiring and mount the unit after it was working!

I just installed one of these and it didn't seem to make any difference at all?

Before, when the compressor kicked in would hit the generator really hard (sometimes killing it completely). I got the SUPCO6 and installed it and the capacitor didn't seem to make any difference? Sometimes I can get it running, but it takes a few tries. I would have expected SOME difference? (even if possibly not enough to keep me from having to buy another AC unit.) It's making me wonder if somethig else is awry.

If the old capacitor was completely bad, would it nullify the operation of the SUPCO? And if I have the AC recharged, would that have any effect on how hard it is to get the compressor running?

I have a Dometic Duotherm and a Onan 4K BGE.

Similar situation here. I had a local AC shop install the Supco capacitor and I can't tell any difference either. My 4.0 Onan still stumbles badly each time the compressor kicks in.

I went and got a hard start capacitor, but when i got there the guy said he never heard of a SPP6E and all he had was a SPP6. Do you have to have the "E" or can you get by with the SPP6?

I bought a honda 3k gen last summer, and when I hooked it up my AC wouldnt fire up..I got on here and they said get the SUpco.... I called the local AC place and they had them. Put it on in no time...

Fired the Generator up and started the AC and what do you know it worked.....

>>BUT, few days later I went to the lake, and had a problem... After loking at things I THOUGHT I had a bad conveter.. when we got back, took it off, brought it by the local RV place, yep he said bad..... I replaced it..

SO I dont know if that had anything to do with the AC not starting or not...

ALso when I tried starting the AC with the generator and it wouldnt, IF I SHUT ALL my breakers off except the AC one it would start the AC....I tried shutting only some breakers off, seeing where most of the draw was..... I think when I shut off the converter and I can remember which breakers, But I found which was taking the most draw... I did get the gen to fire the AC up by shutting off certain breakers, just cant remember which ones.... All I know it works fine now, so I got to say the SUpco Helps..

IF it dont maybe there is another problem somewhere , or its hooked up to the wrong capacitor, came loose or somehting....

I have seen where the SPP6E works but I'm wondering about the "SPP6" will work?? Anyone?
