I have a problem with my brake and turn signal lights while towing. My running lights work just fine just no brake or turn signals. Here is what I have done so far to no avail.
changed plug to the TV
visually inspected the four associated bulbs
checked all fuses in TV and rig
reworked all of the wiring from the pigtail including ground
All four bulbs light when I turn on the running lights and I would not think they would all go out at the same time. I am going to replace them today at any rate.
Everything worked fine last month.
Any other ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tested to see that you are getting power from the tow vehicle on the wire that operates the turn/brake bulb? I recently was having similar problems, and the problem was the ground. There are a lot of previous threads that you can search and reference as well. Best of luck!

Your tail light bulbs are double filament. You can have a good filament on the running lights and a bad or blown filament on the turn and brake lights. It is possible, for both of them to be bad at the same time. I blew both rear bulbs completely on a trip to the beach last year. I drove into a thunderstorm and the lenses weren't sealed to the backers. The cold rain on the hot bulbs shattered the bulbs and I had nothing! Also, depending on your TV, you have separate fuses in the truck for your plug. Your truck lights can work fine and the fuse for the brake and turn signals on the trailer could be blown.

Have you checked the towing fuses under the hood? There is two fuses per function and one relay per function on many new trucks.

Don't just visually check the bulbs, take them out and check them to make certain they are making good contact also check the grounds and using a test light or meter make certain you are geting power to the lights.

Take a 12v test light and check the prongs on TV plug receptacle with emergency flashers on. If you dont get the test light to light up on the turn signal or brake light prongs, check the back of receptacle where wires go in. If you have current in the receptacle, check trailer cord and plug, then check bulbs and sockets. Good luck!!!

Sounds to me like you are working the trailer instead of checking out the truck. Do what others have said check for output at the truck plug in. Changing bulbs seems like a waste of time and money if you don't have source electricity.....Brian
